Amazing progress

Wow. That's all I can say, these past couple of days I've been playing the best poker of my life. I want to get in on a freeroll and take advantage but the style of play is just so different. Anyways I've been just playing amazing and learning from my mistakes. I'm just really excited and proud of myself. Just a month ago I was struggling to win more chips than one of my friends. Now I'm here at the start of the Weekly Challege looking pretty damn good.

It's just a beautiful feeling seeing your progress really come in to fruition. I'm just so thankful. I'm going to keep playing and keep practicing to get even better! Follow me on twitter.com/natepaulpoker

3 million

Finally did it! Now as you can see other people are in the millions and what not, but for me you have to celebrate the small goals. If not you'll be easily frustrated because the results aren't coming. I just made three million my goal because, last two weeks I've hit 1 million then the next week 2 million. I'm seeing my progress. Now I still take risks and don't fully understand when to bet or raise. But when I have a decent hand, I've found myself raising and seeing who does what. Those small details are so important. I can't wait to keep practicing. Building my bank rolls to crush these cash games in no time.

Short break

Just took a short break from blogging. Really been busy with practicing and just really getting a grasp on the game of poker. I'm feeling good I know where I'm messing up, just not paying enough attention to other players bets. For example I had an 88 pair after the flop so I placed a 4k bet, can't remember what the river was so I placed a 12k bet I was called. That's when I should of folded and called it a day, but I had to go all in and I got caught. First mistake is betting that much on a 88 pair. *sigh* but to be better than you were yesterday you have to learn. Overall I'm excitied to really step up my game. I've found a couple poker rooms around me, just waiting for my skill to catch up with my ambition. Follow me on twitter.com/natepaulpoker and heres my ranking in the Zynga Weekly challenge

I wanted to hit 3 mil but I lost a all in hand being dumb and hardheaded but that's all the past!

Life's trying to kick my ass

Pretty much what the title says. But I won't give up I can't give up. If I keep pressing on I will get to my goals. Pokers coming along great I feel like every day I'm learning new lessons. I'm consistently winning hands and playing smarter than ever. No where close to being confident enough to play in cash games though. But I'm seeing progress, I can tell I'm getting better. Just gotta keep pushing, success is right around the corner.    follow me on twitter! twitter.com/natepaulpoker

Here are my results for the zynga online weekly challenge two days in and I'm already at a million

Busy day

Couldn't play as much but still got in a weak 4 hours. I'm getting better though a lot better. I'm playing poker, it's extremely hard to bluff online though. You almost have to have a strong hand if you do. Everyday I feel like I'm learning. From 11-1 I'll play and focus on my decision making and playing good hands.

Quick update

Just put this in my bank roll just a simple 3 grand I'll turn into 10 grand

Lesson Learned

I feel like my poker game went up ten fold by just playing with my grandfather. Once I got serious though and started making good calls and raises, I started seeing me win the pots. It was only three players and the other was a complete novice. I like once I started tightening up, but still aggressive when I needed to be. I was smart when it came to reading the cards and making sure I knew I had something. Bluffing caused me to busted out twice, but that's when I woke up and started making amazing plays and calling others bluffs. Tonight's free roll will be a big test to see what I've learned. As long as I just play smart and can trap when I need too, and steal a couple nice pots I'll be fine. I'll be posting updates via twitter twitter.com/natepaulpoker

PS UPDATE I've added over 20$ to my bank roll doing nothing but submitting a email and filling out a brief survey. If you want to know more feel free to head over http://www.cashcrate.com/5475750

Ending notes

Pretty decent day player poker. I didn't place in the money for any of the free rolls, but I have been killing it at Zynga Poker.

1730 hands played and I started keeping track at 1664. Couple things I need to point out to remind myself. You don't always need to call you can just wait until blinds and bluff your way to more chips, just because people think you've been playing tight. Another thing save up 25 and start testing your luck at low stakes. Keep learning, if I keep practicing I'll be good simple as that. Anyways follow me on twitter! @natepaulpoker

Zynga Poker

So far I'm doing pretty kick ass when it's comes to Zynga Online Poker. It is a play money site, most people playing on their cell phones. But so far in the weekly challenge I've won two million play money dollars. Not so bad but I know I can do way better. My play is sloppy and novice like. But I know what hands to play. I'm getting better after the flop, making a decision if I should keep going. My betting can improve but it will with time. This is my main method of practice, not the best but I can play hundreds of hands per hour.
My weekly rank so far

Not sure if a 20% win ratio is good at all, but I plan on hitting that 2k hands played very soon, like tonight. I think I need to master the basics before I even think about depositing my money

Terrible day

Just played horrible, didn't show any patience or anything. But hey it's freerolls can't be too mad at myself. Once I make enough money I'm going to deposit some into these online accounts and start trying my luck. Too much bullshit involved in those freerolls. Well anyways if you wanna follow my twitter go ahead! www.twitter.com/natepaulpoker

If you like making money!

I've been using this site for a while to add a little bit of money to my online bankroll. It's pretty useful, DISCLAIMER you will not get rich off of this. Instead you will make a decent amount of money for really not doing anything. Here's my link if you're interested http://www.cashcrate.com/5475750

Noon free roll

Well about to try my luck with these free rolls. I'll be sure to keep track of my hands and post them up. Only thing with free rolls is patience, if I can make it to the first break, I know I'll make it into the money. Key thing I need to remember is that play the hands that are winnable, and don't bet you're whole stack.

Intro

Well here I am trying my luck at making it big at poker. A little about me; this isn't my first time trying to make money at a game. Xbox had a pretty good game called Halo 2 and then followed it up with xbox 360 and Halo 3. This thrusted me in full force to play in tournaments. I was pretty decent highest I've placed was top 32 out of 182 teams. I've read that to be good at poker, you have to learned the inside outs of a game before. I've learned everything there was of Halo 3, so I know I can with a card game like poker. So this is going to be a daily blog of me learning and practicing poker. I am self employed, giving me the freedom to play as much as need be. Four hours a day no matter what. I have Zynga Poker installed and have several online poker site that I will be playing in free rolls to build a bank roll. Using that bank roll, I'll start playing lower stakes. Once I get enough bank roll, I'll take that money and enter tournaments around my area. So that's the plan! Once I make my first 500,000$ in profit I'm buying this bad boy!
